Both Janine and Peter are members of the Australian Institute of Embalming and care for the deceased with dignity, knowing that the viewing experience is one that will stay with an individual for the rest of their days. Quality care including embalming is essential for this experience to be a positive one. All mortuary care is provided on a needs basis and with prior arrangement with the family.
Embalming is important to:
• improve the person’s appearance;
• maintain the person’s condition at time of death; and
• disinfect the body.
Toscan Dinn Funerals abide by a strict code of ethics set down by the Institute of Embalming. Further information on embalming is available upon request, specifically a booklet titled 'Embalming' by Peter Dinn. Education about quality mortuary care is encouraged by both Janine Toscan and
Peter Dinn. Janine is experienced in international disaster response, travelling to Africa in 2005 and Peter was the recipient of an Embalming scholarship recently where he visited the USA to present and attend training sessions. Toscan Dinn Funerals is available for information sessions and have experience in presenting to groups. We welcome enquiries from schools, TAFE’s, clubs, work place, or social groups to talk about the funeral industry and the world of embalming.
